Our Story

From a founding vision to an integrated agro-industry

Named after Quarit Woreda, Quarit Agro Industry PLC was established in October 2011 by founder and CEO Habtamu Tadesse. The company began as an agricultural processing and trading enterprise focused on food security, grain value-chain integration and inclusive business in Ethiopia.

Quarit has grown into a recognized processor and supplier of maize, soybean and fortified food products. Its connected operations span local sourcing, specialized grain cleaning, extrusion, milling, nutrient fortification, quality testing, packing, warehousing, transport, commercial distribution and international trade.

Headquartered in Addis Ababa, the company operates processing and storage facilities near agricultural hubs, including certified operations in Bahir Dar. This network serves domestic buyers while supporting export channels to China, Turkey and India.
